ON 83RD INTERPOL GENERAL ASSEMBLY MINISTERIAL MEETING
GRIMALDI FORUM, MONACO

Hon. Minister of Home Affairs, DatoÔÇÖ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi is in Nice, Principality of Monaco, attending the 83rd INTERPOL General Assembly Ministerial Meeting from 3rd until 4th of November 2014 on an official invitation from the INTERPOL. The Opening Ceremony of the General Assembly was officiated by SAS Prince Albert of Monaco at the Grimaldi Forum, Nice, Monaco.
Upon arrival at Nice, Hon. Minister of Home Affairs will be attending a bilateral meeting between Singapore and Malaysia at Hermitage Hotel, Monaco on the 3rd of November 2014 from 3.00 until 3.30 pm. SingaporeÔÇÖs Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Teo Chee Hean headed the Singapore delegation. Among other issues discussed are the efforts from both countries to eradicate the threat of IS movement from legal aspect as well as preventive measures and recovery. Both Malaysia and Singapore are very happy with their strong diplomatic ties and have pledged to work together to overcome the spread of IS movement.┬á
The highlight of the programme will be on the 4th of November 2014, where the Hon. Minister of Home Affairs is scheduled to give his speech during the Ministerial Session and will be addressing on the theme ÔÇÿCelebrating 100 Years of Progress and Achievement' focusing on ÔÇÿThe Evolution and Expansion of Organized Police CooperationÔÇÖ.
